Northern Illinois Tabbed as MAC Preseason Favorite

DETROIT, Mich. - Northern Illinois is the preseason favorite to win the Mid-American Conference West Division and to triumph in the MAC Championship game according to the MAC News Media Association, which released its 2006 Football Preseason Poll Monday in conjunction with the MAC Football Preview held in Detroit.
