Chicago Tribune: NIU won't let up vs. Ohio

The spotlight has dimmed, ABC Sports won't be coming to DeKalb and there won't be 103,896 fans watching Northern Illinois' football team at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Joe Novak, whose team lost to No. 1 Ohio State 35-12 last Saturday, knew this would be the case and has preached to his team that the second game on the Huskies' schedule would be the most important one no matter what happened in Columbus. Ohio University, coached by former Nebraska coach Frank Solich, never will be confused with the Buckeyes on the football field but NIU realizes it can't give less than its best against the Bobcats.
