Chicago Sun-Times: Wolfe a runaway leader in I-A

Despite sitting out the final 26 minutes of Northern Illinois' 48-14 victory over visiting Indiana State on Saturday, Garrett Wolfe continued to draw away from the pack in Division I-A rushing.

Wolfe gained 198 yards on 22 carries and actually saw his per-game average dip from 210 to 207. But he is almost 50 yards per game ahead of second-place Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma (160.8) and more than 50 in front of third-place Ian Johnson of Boise State (156.5). The Big Ten's best is No. 9 Michael Hart of Michigan (119.25).
