Terre Haute Tribune Star: Sycamores no match for Northern Illinois

In Indiana State’s three previous football losses this season, the Sycamores excited their fans with offensive firepower and big plays in scoring 96 points.

But they showed little firepower and no big plays Saturday afternoon in dropping a 48-14 decision to Division I-A Northern Illinois at Huskie Field.

NIU’s Heisman Trophy contender Garrett Wolfe rushed for four touchdowns and 198 yards on 22 carries in a little more than two quarters of action. He also caught four passes for 42 yards.
