Rockford Register Star: Wolfe stays on pace for huge season

Mark Keller did it from his fullback position back in 1973, and LeShon Johnson took the nation by storm and did it his own way in ‘93.

“Anything can happen,” Garrett Wolfe said after rushing for 263 yards and two touchdowns in NIU’s first victory of the season Saturday.

Leading the nation in rushing while playing in little ol’ DeKalb isn’t an easy task, but it seems to be catching on. And Wolfe very well could be the next to reel in the glory, especially after the start he’s had in 2006.
